Elevator Services for Properties in Dix Hills, NY
We support single-family homes, private estates, and multifamily properties across Dix Hills with expert elevator solutions tailored to local needs.
The area now known as Dix Hills was originally called Dick’s Hills, named after a local Indigenous leader. In 1699, early settlers traded with the Secatogue tribe, who had lived in the northern portion of this region during the late 1600s.
In the 1950s, Dix Hills nearly became part of a much larger incorporated village. A proposal aimed to combine Dix Hills, Wyandanch, Melville, and Sweet Hollow into the Incorporated Village of Half Hollow Hills, encompassing approximately 50 square miles — though the plan was never finalized.
Today, Dix Hills is a spacious and well-established community that blends suburban living with easy access to highways, schools, and parks. Island Elevator is proud to serve this growing region with dependable elevator maintenance and upgrades for residential and commercial systems alike.
